Brief Description of Duties:
Empower Behavioral Health & Intervention is looking for a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to work at our facility in NW Columbus, Ohio. This position is 50% center based and 50% outpatient clients. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
One of the most common characteristics of a child on the autism spectrum is difficulty communicating. Therefore, a speech language pathologist is a necessary and vital part of the evaluation and treatment team for many families living with Autism. The speech pathology department at Empower is comprised of speech pathologists who are dedicated to providing evidence-based services for children with communication disabilities. This position pathologist provides evaluations and interventions for receptive and expressive language, as well as pragmatic language/social skills, play skills, articulation, fluency, voice, oral motor skills and eating/feeding skills deficits. Speech therapy sessions are conducted in a one-on-one setting, in the classroom, or in collaboration with other Empower staff such as occupational therapists, behavior analysts, and social workers.

Title of Position: Speech & Language Pathologist
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with current State of Ohio Licensure; or
•    Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology with current State of Ohio Licensure; or
•    Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college/university with conditional license as described in ORC 4753.071.  May be required to complete a Supervised Professional Experience within 12 months of hire, if necessary for licensure.

One (1) year experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a professional Early Intervention setting is preferred.

Brief description of duties:   Evaluate and assess speech and language disabilities, and provide interventions and recommendations for those individuals diagnosed with a communication disorder.

Brief Description of Duties - This is a full-time, 184 days school-based, Speech and Language Pathologist position.  Completes evaluations, writes Evaluation Team Reports, and facilitates ETR meetings for students with speech and language disorders and suspected disorders.  Writes Individualized Education Programs for students with Speech and Language disorders and facilitates IEP meetings. Participates as a member of the evaluation and IEP team for students with speech and language related services.  Implements therapy plans designed to meet IEP goals. Consults with staff members to facilitate student generalization of skills.  This person will also be an active member of the Intervention Support Team and may implement pre-identification interventions for students.
